چکیده
Abstract Plants growing on karst soils, which are characterized by high pH (>7.5–8.0) and low phosphorus availability, often exhibit deficiency. However, little is known about the soil nutrient availabilities foliar concentrations of trees in ecosystems with lower (<7.0). In this study, we analyzed properties leaf litter from two secondary forests Asian monsoon temperate region Japan, one (limestone) other non‐karst (sandstone) soil. We also compared live four dominant tree species ( Carpinus tschonoskii , Cornus macrophylla Neolitsea sericea Quercus variabilis ) found both sites. The had a higher (6.5) than (5.6), as well calcium but potassium availability. measured using Truog ([NH 4 ] 2 SO Olsen (NaHCO 3 extraction methods were ammonium nitrate did not differ significantly between calcium, potassium, leaves reflected their availability soil, nitrogen concentration was forest. Overall, relatively rich poor potassium. Karst may provide large quantity for at pH. Future research should investigate change soils different degrees weathering.

Temporal Variations of Fire Effects on Dissolved Nutrient Concentrations and Runoff amount in Zrebar Lake Watershed
Fire causes destructive effects on soil, water and components of wetland ecosystems. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of fire on runoff amount and nutrient concentration of Zrebar Lake watershed between 2014 and 2017 and the return of burned areas to their natural conditions in the short, medium and long term. The results showed that in the fourth year after the fire, the am...
متن کاملForest Ecosystems: Nutrient Cycling
Nutrients are elements or compounds that are essential for the growth and survival of plants. Plants require large amounts of nutrients such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), carbon (C), hydrogen (H), oxygen (O), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), and magnesium (Mg), but only small amounts of others such as boron (B), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn) and chlorine (Cl) (micronutrients)...

although there are studies on pragmatic assessment, to date, literature has been almost silent about native and non-native english raters’ criteria for the assessment of efl learners’ pragmatic performance. focusing on this topic, this study pursued four purposes. the first one was to find criteria for rating the speech acts of apology and refusal in l2 by native and non-native english teachers...

ABSTRACT- The purpose of this study was to elucidate the effects of chemical thinning on seasonal variations of leaf and fruit mineral compositions of ‘Soltani’ apple trees. Treatments, including unthinned control, naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) at 5 and 10 mg L-1, naphthaeneacetamide (NAD) at 25 and 50 mg L-1, benzyladenine (BA) at 50 and 100 mg L-1 and carbaryl at 500 and 1000 mg L-1 were appl...
متن کاملSubstrate and nutrient limitation of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria and archaea in temperate forest soil
Ammonia-oxidizing microbes control the rate-limiting step of nitrification, a critical ecosystem process, which affects retention and mobility of nitrogen in soil ecosystems. This study investigated substrate (NH4þ) and nutrient (K and P) limitation of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) and ammonia-oxidizing archaea (AOA) in temperate forest soils at Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory, a long-term eco...
